This stunning gold coin uniquely captures the majesty and strength of the Bald Eagle, a universal symbol of freedom. Each coin is 1/25 troy ounce of fine gold, 99.99% pure! Limited to 10,000 coins worldwide. The coin was designed by Canadian artist Trevor Tenant and features a profile portrait of a Bald Eagle. Presenting the animal from its left side, the portrait features in striking detail the light-colored head and dark upper wings and body of this majestic raptor.

Its sharp hooked beak is open while its small, far-seeing left eye glares authoritatively at the viewer. The varied textures and tones of the eagle's feathers are captured through expert engraving and finishing. The reverse is engraved with the word "CANADA, " the date "2013" and the face value of 50 CENTS.

Each coin comes encapsulated and presented in a maroon flock-lined clam-shell case. The case for each coin is protected by a black sleeve and accompanied by a serialized Certificate of Authenticity, which provides proof of ownership for this coin and evidence that the coin has been individually inspected by the Mint's resident quality assurance specialists. Many coin dealers "search" all coins when they are received from the Mint. They "cherry-pick" the best coins. Then submit them to be graded, certified, and slabbed by PCGS, NGC, ANACS, etc.
